The island has no major climbs, you mainly cycle along the sea but will experience a ride in an exciting and varied coastal landscape.

04/08/2015Think about the weight and avoid heavy, useless items. Even though it's summer, we can have cold temperatures in Vesterålen so remember warm, wind proof clothes! ALWAYS bring an extra change of dry clothes for use in dry circumstances, and consider wearing the damp clothes when cycling. A tip is to put damp clothes in the sleeping bag while sleeping to dry it during the night. Zinc ointment or Assos cream can be a good idea to use for your behind on long rides.
