Practical information

Departure location: Hamnegata 75, 8480 Andenes
Reception location: Look for our black reception container behind Rorbua in Andenes Harbour, near the ferry to Gryllefjord.
Season: May 15 - September 30
Duration: Approx. 5 hours (may take longer due to the location of the whales)
Departures: 1-2 daily (depending on weather and demand)
Check-in: At least 1 hour before departure
Minimum passengers: 15
Capacity: Up to 60 guests
Accessibility: Wheelchair access available with prior notice
Pets: Dogs allowed, but must stay outside due to allergy concerns

What to expect

We head out from Andenes to Bleik Canyon (Bleiksdjupet), a deep-sea area rich in marine life. Every tour is different, and sightings often include:

Sperm whales
Humpback whales
Orcas
Minke whales
Harbour porpoises and white-beaked dolphins

Our experienced and multilingual guides share fascinating insights throughout the trip. On the way back, we serve a warm fish or vegetarian soup with bread, prepared using local ingredients and wild herbs.

Bonus Wildlife

Beyond whales, this region is known for diverse birdlife. You may see:

Atlantic puffins
White-tailed eagles
Cormorants and European shags
Guillemots, razorbills, and kittiwakes

Many birds nest on nearby Bleik Island from mid-April to mid-August.
