Terms and conditions online booking

Please read our terms and conditions carefully, as these will be binding on your order.

Visit Vesterålen AS forwards your order to the relevant supplier of activity, accommodation or transport you have ordered. The suppliers are responsible for delivering the product you order in accordance with the description, and any claims/compensations relating to the order must be addressed to the supplier. Visit Vesterålen AS is not responsible for activity, accommodation or transport matching what has been ordered.

If you need to contact us before, during or after your arrival date, we are available Monday - Friday 09.00-15.00.

Contract

Your contract partner is Visit Vesterålen AS. When you order from us, the contract is to be considered binding as you ask us to confirm the order. You then become financially responsible for the order. At the moment you make a booking, you also confirm that you have the authority to accept on behalf of yourself and any travel companions. You accept responsibility for payment being made to us for all travelers in your entourage. You are responsible for ensuring that the reservation is in accordance with the order. As the booker, you are also obliged to ensure that the names on all documents are correct according to the passports of all travelers in your entourage. You will also be responsible for ensuring that everyone in your traveling party is kept fully informed of what has been ordered and if any changes have been made.

Order

Your order is confirmed when you receive confirmation with a reservation number. We recommend that all our customers print out the confirmation and take it with them on their journey. If you want, we can make the order for you, a service fee of NOK 200 per order will then be charged. You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking through Visit Vesterålen AS.

Payment and security

Payment takes place when the order is completed. Visit Vesterålen AS is responsible for the transaction itself, and that the correct amount is deducted from your account. If there are problems with your credit card, we will contact you. If we can’t get in touch with you, the order will be cancelled. All personal information is provided on an encrypted page (SSL 128 bit) where it is safe to enter contact information and your credit card.

Only Visit Vesterålen AS and the supplier of the product you have ordered will have access to your name and contact information. This information will be used for handling the booking (change/cancellation of booking) and may be used in market research from the mentioned companies.

Cancellations/changes

To cancel or change your order, you must contact us directly at Visit Vesterålen AS.

The following deadlines apply to activity and transport products*:

  • Cancellation can be made up to 15 days before arrival with a full refund.
  • Cancellation between 3 and 14 days before arrival 50% of the total cost is refunded.
  • Cancellation less than 48 hours before arrival/start time does not result in a refund.

The following deadlines apply for hotel accommodation*:

  • Cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival: 100% refund.

The following deadlines apply for accommodation in hostels, rorbu, cabins, holiday homes, apartments, rooms, camping and glamping*:

  • Cancellation 14 days or more before arrival: 100% refund.
  • Cancellation 7-14 days: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival: no refund.

In case of no-show, the cancellation rule applies less than 24 hours before arrival/start time.

A change on your part is considered as cancellation.

*Some of our subcontractors and partners require other cancellation terms and conditions to be met in addition to ours (including "no-show"). In these cases, you will be informed of these rules when you order.

Our suppliers

We are responsible for our subcontractors being paid for what you have ordered through us. Our subcontractors are responsible for their part of your program, including full insurance, permits, equipment, staffing, etc., which are in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations used by the supplier.

Groups

Visit Vesterålen AS is happy to assist you with bookings for larger groups. Do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email. Please note, however, that there is an additional price of NOK 200 per order in service fee.

Complain

We would like to point out that in the event of any complaints or other statements relating to the individual event (activity, accommodation, transport, or rental) for the supplier, it must be addressed to the relevant supplier and us. Visit Vesterålen AS has no responsibility related to the individual product. Visit Vesterålen AS is only responsible for forwarding your order to the supplier, who is responsible for the activities, providing accommodation, transport or renting equipment in line with your order. It is the supplier who must ensure that both safety and the delivery of the product are in line with the description.

Visit Vesterålen AS is not responsible for any illness in during boat or car trips.

Visit Vesterålen AS is not responsible if you get to see the northern lights during an aurora trip or whales during a whale safari, or other attractions that depend on the weather or nature.
