Transport in Bø

Airplane

It's a small airport at Skagen (1,5 hours drive) and Andenes (2,5 hours drive), where the Widerøe airplanes land (to/from Oslo).

Costal Express Boat

In Vesterålen the cruise ship “Hurtigruta” stops in Risøyhavn (Andøy), Sortland and Stokmarknes (Hadsel). 

Car

It's approx. 50 minutes drive from Sortland to Straume, in the middle of Bø.

Traffic in convoys in Ryggedalstunnelen!

Nordland county Council is upgrading Ryggedalstunnelen in Bø municipality. Vehicles are allowed to drive through behind a lead vehicle only. During nights the tunnel is closed for up to four hours at a time.

If you are a pedestrian or a cyclist, please contact the lead vehicle driver. If you are a group planning a trip later this summer, please call us at +47 75 65 00 00.

The tunnel is 1620 metres long.

To Bø

Convoy driving to Bø will take place every hour between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m., and then at 9 p.m., 11 p.m., midnight and 2 a.m.

From Bø

Convoy driving from Bø will take place every hour between 5.35 a.m. and 7.35 p.m. , and then at 9.35 p.m., 11.35 p.m. and 1.35 a.m.
