Accommodation

If you are visiting Bø in a camper or caravan there are several places that offer a spot to park, empty tanks, fill water and/or electricity. Just remember that it is not allowed to camp closer than 150 meters from homes. Here are some places that are prepared to welcome caravans: Fjordcamp, Eidet sjøcamp, Straume samfunnshus, The boat club at Vinjesjøen, Hovden samfunnshus, Guvåg boat and cabin rental and the old Bøstrand school.

Ringstad Resort

Ringstad Resort is beautifully situated by Ringstad in Bø in Vesterålen, offering cozy lodging opportunities on the horizon. They have several small houses for rent, amongst them a Nordlandshouse with a spectacular view over the harbour and fjord from the dining room, living room and the terrace. And Blåstua (the blue cottage) that is situated on the hill in Ringstad with view over the harbour and fjord, with a small garden. They also have 5 modern apartments for max. 5 persons each feature a living room with a seating area and a private bathroom with a shower, in the House by the sea itself. Close by, you can find a nice traditional fisherman cabin "Butikken" ("The store") that provides 4 bedrooms and 10 beds, so it is perfectly suitable for a group or a larger family.

The House by the sea offers lots of exciting activities. Both on the sea as well as in the wilderness. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked with only the freshest and finest local products.

Skagakaia

Skagakaia is a pleasant family owned guesthouse, situated at the end of a small road, furthest out in the western municipalty of Bø in Vesterålen. Here you have islands and ocean, mountains and great hiking trails- all in emmidiate reach. After a day out there is nothing better that settling down in a good chair at the quay overlooking the ocean and the Lofoten Archipellago to the south.

The guest rooms are pastel colored from another time and in our nice restaurant you can enjoy homemade meals based on the catch of the day.

History is well taken care of here, and the place is carefully restored with support from the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Foundation. While bathrooms are new and pleasant, and facilities are up to date in quality, you can still imagine the genuine and authentic athmosphere of the old harbour - where people travelled by passenger ships and goods where brought in and out.

Winter season:
During winter you may rent a room in the dockhouse, make your own food in the guest kitchen, enjoy the wonder-view of ocean and Lofoten mountains, walk the all year hiking trail to the Vetten Mountain or have a chat with the locals at Losjehytta (Hikers cabin).

Vesterålen Apartment

Overlooking Jørgenfjord, these modern apartments in Klaksjord village feature a fully equipped kitchen, living room with high ceilings, quality sleeping facilities, shower/wc, hydronic heating, flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi.

All apartments are built in Nordic design. The main building contains three separate apartments (approx. 60 square meters) – each suitable for 6 persons. Our boathouse (approx. 40 square meters) is suitable for 4 persons.

A multi-purpose building (community house) can seat 20 people for dinners, meetings and events. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and 3 separate shower/bathrooms. TV and audio facilities are available. For large groups the house can serve as a meeting point between the apartments.

Rowing boats can be borrowed for free on site. Bicycles and canoes for hire. Popular activities in the area include fishing, hiking, cycling, canoeing and wildlife safaris.

Sortland town centre is within 1 hours’ drive of Vesterålen Apartments. The sculpture “The man from the Sea” and our Museum are 17 km away.

Fjordcamp

Fjordcamp is situated in the beautiful countryside and with views to the sea, mountains and fjords. You can find Fjordcamp at the "entrance" to Bø municipality, located next to Kråkberget.

Fjordcamp offer affordable accommodation in cozy cottages with self catering, pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents, barbecue huts and barbecue areas, piers for the boat guests, a restaurant and a conference hall. They also have cottages and a boat adapted for physically disabled.

Out on the pier around the main building you can enjoy food and drink, or just simply enjoy the life by the sea, sunbathe or watch the midnight sun and the northern lights when the season and the weather allows it.
