Bø outdoor gallery
Bø Outdoor Gallery is a permanent photo exhibition that shows all of the sculptures in the international art collection Artscape Nordland. The impressive architect designed building presents all of the 36 sculptures and makes it possible to experience the project in its entirety. You can read more about the sculptures that are spread over 35 municipalities in Nordland county and 1 in Troms county on their web page.
The thought behind the Outdoor Gallery harmonizes with the idea behind Artscape Nordland: A collection of modern art out in the open beautiful North Norwegian landscape. Combined with the stage and the nearby museum the area is a cultural center for both people who are visiting and who are from Bø. Kjell Erik Killi-Olsens sculpture “The man from the sea” is also just a couple hundred meters from the gallery. H.M. Queen Sonja had the official opening of the Outdoor Gallery on the 24th of June in 2015.
